Introducing K-Prox & K-Smart: Professional grade, dual technology, stand alone access controllers. Unaffected by virtually any environment, (heat, rain, snow, ice – up to ⅜“), K-Prox combines an Essex 12 Pad 3x4 Keypad with HID 125 kHz proximity. K-Smart offers an enhanced level of security by integrating HID 13.56MHz iCLASS® smart card technology. Easily programmable through the Keypad, K-Prox can also be programmed with Essex EZKey™ PC Programmable software included with an optional encoded relay module (part no. ERM-3).

Encoded Relay Module for PC Programming

K-Prox/K-Smart controllers provide 3 Open Collector outputs. In order for these outputs to trigger an electrified lock or other auxiliary device, they must be tied to either external relays or an optional Essex Encoded Relay Module (Part No. ERM-3). In addition to providing the features listed above, the Encoded Relay Module includes:
