For over 20 years, Essex Electronics has designed and manufactured Keyless Entry Access Control Systems for the elevator industry. These innovative systems are used to control access by requiring the user to enter an access code at a keypad (or present a proximity card) before a call can be registered. Applications include:

Inside the car - Restricts access to private floors

At a landing - Restricts access to the car

In hospitals - To initiate "Code Blue" emergency service

In nursing facilities - to protect patients

In luxury condominiums - For Condo Control

Essex Keyless Entry systems provide dry contact outputs which can easily interface with nearly any type of elevator call circuits. From a simple low rise elevator to multiple elevators serving up to 48 floors, Essex has an access control solution to fill most elevator security requirements.

For elevator applications, Essex Electronics offers two systems:

KE-1000 Mark 3

The KE-1000 Mark 3 provides reliable access control on a new or existing low rise elevator serving up to 6 floors. The KE-1000 Mark 3 systems are commonly referred to as "self managing" systems. Not only are they convenient to use but the KE-1000 simplifies code maintenance by allowing access codes to be changed right from the touchpad.

KE-1900

The KE-1900 is a multiple user access control system designed for new or existing mid to high rise elevators. Capable of serving up to 48 floors of two or more elevators (up to eight), the KE-1900 can be connected to a serial printer to provide audit trail event recording. Want Keypads or Proximity readers? The KE-1900 can accept both providing maximum flexibility.
