Utilizing a proprietary Billion Cycle Switch Technology^™, Essex state of the art, piezoelectric keypads outperform all other keypads (membrane, conductive rubber, mechanical and even other piezoelectric keypads) in indoor, outdoor, harsh and high use applications.

Essex Keypads provide industry standard outputs including 26 Bit Wiegand, 8 Bit Word, Serial ASCII, and RS-485. Compatible with most access control panels or industrial process control equipment, Essex can also provide custom outputs for specific OEM applications.

The Essex Thinline 2x6

The Essex Thinline 2×6 is a narrow style, weatherproof, piezoelectric Keypad designed for mullion mount applications. Graphic overlay finishes include stainless steel or black illuminated.

The Essex 12-Pad 3x4

The Essex 12 Pad 3×4 is a virtually indestructible, piezoelectric Keypad designed to mount to a U.S. single gang switch box. Constructed of stainless steel, the robust design of the 12 Pad 3×4 puts this keypad in a class of its own. It has no moving parts to fail or wear out. Laser marked Keypad graphics withstands wear from high use and harsh environments (i.e. oil, grease, bleach, JA Jetfuel). Graphics can be customized per customer requirements.

RFID CARD READERS

Compatible with most OEM access control panels, Essex rugged card readers provide superior performance in vandal prone areas and extreme climate conditions. Essex card readers built exclusively with Genuine HID Technology^™ are available with 125kHz HID Proximity and 13.56MHz iCLASS SE^®. Reads credentials (cards and fobs) up to 64 bits (91 for standard RoxProx^™ and RoxProx II^™) including 26 Bit Wiegand open format.

iRox^™ Series

iRox^™ and iRoxPlus^™ are heavy duty RFID smart card readers with Genuine HID Technology^™. Built to last, iRox readers feature stainless steel construction, epoxy encapsulated electronics, audiovisual feedback and a low profile, vandal and ligature resistant design. The new iRox^™ incorporates HID Mobile Access ® solutions including Apple’s Enhanced Contactless Polling (ECP) application to support credentials in Apple Wallet.

COMBINATION KEYPAD/ CARD READERS

Compatible with most access control panels, Essex dual technology readers combine an Essex Piezoelectric Keypad with HID Proximity or iCLASS^™. Suitable for all indoor and outdoor applications, Essex combination Keypad/Card readers are designed for higher security installations where a dual method of identification is required.

PiezoProx^®

PiezoProx^® is a dual technology reader which incorporates an Essex Stainless Steel, piezoelectric Keypad with an HID industry standard 125kHz proximity reader. With a read range of up to 5″, PiezoProx^® provides superior reader performance in virtually any environment.

T-Prox^™

T-Prox^™ is a dual technology access control reader which combines an Essex Thinline 2×6 Keypad with HID 125kHz Proximity. T-Prox^™ is designed to interface with an OEM Access control panel. T-Prox^™ transmits 125kHz Wiegand data (up to 91 bits) from the card reader and can be configured in the field to provide the following Industry Standard Outputs:
